Other Accomplishments:
- The team was honored at the RI State House for their 2016 National Championship.
- The team has been selected six times by US Figure Skating to represent the US at the Nation's Cup world theatre on ice event! In 2010, the team was unable to attend the competition at the last minute due to the eruption of the Icelandic volcano, which halted all air travel across the Atlantic Ocean. In 2011, the team competed at Nation's Cup and won the bronze medal. In 2017 the team placed 8th at the international event, and in 2019 the team earned the silver medal at the Nations' Cup competition in Epinal, France. 2023 brought Nation's Cup to Boston where OSIT placed 5th. After achieving 2nd place at the 2023 Nationals, they were once again invited to represent the US this coming year in Bordeaux, France 2024.
